Today I gave a forty minute presentation at our department. I talked about the project on which I have been working, and showed the results that I had got. It was my first presentation in the Southern Hemisphere. I hope I didn’t put figures upside down.
I didn’t know most of the audience. However, one of the people who came, looked familiar. Do I know him? Ah yes – I remembered – I fixed a router at his house a few weeks ago. “Hi! Do you remember me? Welcome to my lecture!” – I greeted him.
At that moment I wished farmers with whom I worked in Central Otago would have come to my lecture as well.
