A small Sri Lankan world…

Greetings from Colombo.

Today I got lost in the city, stopped, and asked a passerby for directions. It turned out that he was going to the same place so we went together.

When I told him that I teach at the Uva Wellassa University, he asked me what I was teaching.

‘Computer science’, I replied.
‘Really? Do you speak Russian?’
‘Then, I know you’.
‘How do you know me?’, I asked in surprise.
‘One of your students is doing his industrial training in my company. He told me about you’.

It’s amazing. I stopped a random person in Colombo and he knows me.

I wonder, what that student told him about me. That I am a crazy teacher?
