As businesses in America, Europe, and the Arabian Gulf outsource many of their jobs to cheaper workforce from South Asia, South Asians themselves found a source of cheap labor in their own countries: monkeys.
Monkeys don’t need salaries. They can work for food. They also don’t require accommodation, work permits, and medical care.
Monkeys can learn. The monkey in the picture above, can now perform only simple electric repairs, but research is being done on how to teach monkeys more advanced skills.
The research has already shown that, in many cases, monkeys are able to learn new things better than some human students in modern universities.
It is believed that soon we will have not only monkey electricians but also monkey policemen, taxi drivers, hairdressers, computer programmers and university lecturers.
