  1. I too send a belated wish of a blessed and joyous Christmas, and a happy New Year in 2013 – not too late! – to everybody.

Those who are fond of (European) classical music might enjoy this Christmas concert from Norway:

    Christmas concert in Vang Church

It will be on the national broad-casting company’s website until the 24 January.

Vang Church is situatied in Hamar, a town/city north a Oslo, on the eastern shores of the lake Mjøsa.

The main reason I post the link is to draw your attention to two particular performers: Norwegian Tine Ting Helseth on trumpet (she has won international prizes, quite deserved), and Spanish Bylvia Schwartz (dark hair, red dress, with a German name, although it says on the web that she is Spanish), a really wonderful suprano, a star at the Vienna opera.

The confrançier is our Princess Märtha Louise, the sister of our crown prince.

    • Thanks Marianne, we got your postcard, it’s very beautiful 🙂

    • Also Merry Christmas and best wishes to you in 2013!

  2. What now, my endless misprints strike again; it should of course be:

    Sylvia Schwartz
